Tres Beau, November Sable

What is happening to the world?  I watch the news and I see that it’s snowing like crazy in so many countries!  Where I live, it’s been abnormally cold for this time of the year also and people was pulling out their warmest coats and jackets to stay warm.

I wonder if that’s the reason behind this big SL trend surrounding fur.  I am seeing long fur coat, fur jackets, fur hats and all sorts but this is not a bad thing because 1. we can stay warm, 2. fur looks better in recent items and more importantly, 3. no animals are harmed to produce fur in SL!

Now Kimmera Madison of Tres Beau, in her new collection that was just released, came up with this gorgeous outfit set that comes with a sable jacket with really fluffy fur, a matching fur hat and even matching fur leg warmers!   And this is not all.  You also get pants, shoes, sweater and even gloves in this set.  The only items in this pic that was not included in the set were the sunglasses I am wearing!

Of all of the Miss Virtual World 2012 gowns, the ‘Seoul’ from Angel Dessous was tied as perhaps my top favorite. The detail work on this magnificent creation is just delicious. The gown has a distinctly Asian feel with a fashion-forward, modern, couture flair. The gown comes with an amazing head piece as well, but for this look I have switched out the head piece from the original gown with this spectacular ’Lotus’ hair from UrbanLutz.

Lovely Mi has a whole new line of Geisha-inspired make-ups available in two varieties – ‘Geisha I’ and ‘Geisha II The Vaher Dilemma.’ The ‘Geisha I’ set has a more traditional feel with a slightly darker gothic feel. This particular makeup above, the “GEISHA – Veher Insanity’ is from the second set, which has an even wilder edge with bold colors and extremely dramatic eye makeup. For the jewelry for this look, I picked through my Finesmith collection to find these ‘Oasis’ earrings, which I thought echoed the shapes in the hair in a striking way. The Angel Dessous ‘Seoul’ gown comes with a necklace, but here I have replaced it with a Finesmith ‘Core’ piece that I felt mimicked the overall shape of the hair in reverse in a pleasing manner. I also included a gorgeous ‘Aphrodite’ bracelet in black  from Finesmith as well, which you can see in the first pic. The shoes are one of my very favorite pairs of black heels, ‘Genova’ in black from Similar Italian Footwear.

NV Corsetry, The Ritz (Womenstuff Hunt gift)

Vero Modero, Mistwalker White Gown

Vero Modero has a line of new winter collection items in the store, many of them white or red and lovely to wear for a formal occasion during this winter.

Out of many I decided to wear a gown called the Mistwalker White Gown which is a gorgeous silky gown with a pale animal print top, giving it a silvery look to the over all colour.  Mind you, there is a red one too for those who like to have more colour!

The gown also has feathers attached at the back and together with the large standing collar and shoulder cuffs, it adds a lot of character to this slender gown.  As the name suggests, there was this somewhat mysterious feel to this design which inspired me to make a non-realistic look and this is what I got.

For makeup, I used three different tattoo layers that were all from different creators but worked great together to make this mysterious look.  I tried to avoid making it look too gothic or cyber as that will go against what I wanted to do with this outfit.

Boots are from The Looking Glass, which I found earlier today. It sells clothes and furnishings and prefabs and so on. THEY HAVE GEARS ON THEM, that makes them a) cool and b) steampunk. I got the hat on the Marketplace from “JPK” which seems to be Japanese and is quite reasonable in prices.

Skin is Curio, eyes are Poetic Colours.

I meant to make stuff today. I did make stuff, but I didn’t like it in the end. Oh well. Also pondering having a shop again (inorite) just so I have a base I can point people to when they ask where to buy this or that thing. I’d need lots of prims, though. I have that Caledon land with a teahouse on it that could be torn down and replaced with something more… more I don’t know.

Sascha's Designs, Paisley Pants Dark #2 Pants & Bliss Couture, Ruffle Coat in Grey

Sascha Frangilli of Sascha’s Designs is releasing a very hot and exciting pants series!  It’s called “Paisley Pants” and comes in four amazing “dark” colours as well as another four “light” colours, which is eight colours in total!

Obviously the “light” colours tend to have a more spring-like feel but it’s been really cold this winter and a bit of a spring feel is something we can all welcome as long as we are living in countries that have cold winters.  For me, it’s been a tough cold winter this year and I am totally in love with the bright colours of these pants to brighten up my day!

Here, I styled one pair of pants from the “dark” series and one more from the “light” series.  For the “dark” pants, I styled it with one of the newly released fur bolero jacket from Bliss Couture for a more winter look.

The Ruffle Coat from Bliss Couture that I am wearing also comes in eight colour variations: blue, grey, magenta, noir, olive, pearl, purple and red.  With so many colours to choose from, I am sure you will be able to find one, if not more colours, that you like!

I made the second look using a pair from the “light” colour series.  These are very fun to style too as you can easily pick one colour from the pants texture and add that colour as a point colour to your look.
